What's wwoofing ? Verb coming from the Wwoof program = World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms.
Come work and learn with us, on a relatively new farm operation. Our farm is 75 acres, hay, garden, pasture and forest. We raise heritage breed animals, which include Berkshire swine, Jacob sheep, along with cross bred meat sheep, various heritage poultry, and SE Arabian horses. There is a market garden, and hay fields to be processed as well. Our two barns, and our home are surrounded by apple and pear trees. There will be a great variety of jobs to be done, you will never be without change and experiences.
Our area has many trails for nature tours. We are located 15 minutes from the town of Windsor, and 45 minutes from Halifax. We are a relatively new operation, with several years experience. We have owned our farm for 9 years, have always loved animals, and started raising Arabian horses 12 years ago.
Our belief is to help promote a better way of life on and around the farm by natural growth for all our livestock,and gardens.
